Wait on the Lord!

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

When we face hardship and discouragement, it is easy to loose sight of the big picture. But we can rest in knowing that we are not alone. Many have already made it through life, enduring far more difficult circumstances than we have experienced. Suffering is training ground for Christian’s maturity it is preparation for our destiny. It develops our patience.

Trials can cause us to become discourage and even lose hope, however, by focusing on Christ and what he has done for us; we won’t become weary and give up. Waiting on the Lord is the patient expectation that God will fulfill his promises in his word and strengthen us to rise above life difficulties. It means to completely trust God no matter what the situation is. “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thy own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.”

Prayer:

Father we love you and honor you. Lord there is none like you and we give you all the praise. Lord we pray for renewed strength, strengthen us to go on, to move forward even when it looks as though we can’t move in more. Strengthen us even when we don’t understand life circumstances, when we don’t understand the trials that are before us. Strengthen us so that we may run and not be weary we trust you and love you in the name of Jesus we pray amen.
